I'm looking for insights on my vignette series (2,709 words). The three connected shorts are historical/action with a PG-13 movie rating for some violence.

A very brief log-line could read: When Rebecca is abandoned by her father, her life choices shrink in 13th century Milan.

What's working? What's not? Is there enough conflict throughout? Any other suggestions you'd be willing to offer would be appreciated!
