YA, Characters with Dream Powers, Read 2015-16, Published Around or Before

I read this series back in middle school, and it had to have been published before 2016. I remember that there were maybe 10-13 books in the series. (Please don't suggest a trilogy or anything less than at least 5 books.) Each book was glossy, hardcover without a sleeve, and a different color for each installment in the series, similar to the books in the Phoenix Files series and the 39 Clues series.

Also, like the Phoenix Files, which was a pretty obscure series written by an Australian dude that somehow ended up in my Greater Atlanta Area middle school library, the series may not have been written by an American author.

The main character had dreams all the time, and he had this mentor that told him that what happened in the dreams would always come true... or so he thought (maybe).

I know this is a very vague description, but I hope maybe someone could remind me of the name of the series or one of the books. Been looking for this for 4+ years.

Any chance it's The Lives of Christopher Chant by Diana Wynne Jones? It's part of her Chrestomanci series. The boy, Christopher, is an enchanter who has nine lives, and can visit other worlds in his sleep, Whenever he has a fatal accident in another world, he wakes back up in his world; then later has a fatal accident resembling the 'dream' one. Eg, he got stabbed by a spear in the dream world, then later on in his world a curtain pole fell down and stabbed him.

The Daniel X series by James Patterson? Only 6 books in the series, but Daniel does have prophetic dreams as well as other powers so I thought worth a guess. The first book is The Dangerous Days of Daniel X.
