Katy Lovejoy | 75 comments Full disclaimer, what I consider a raunchy book has gotten me at best labeled boring and at worst a prudish nun.

50 shades series is a series I've never read before and is next on the library shelves. I told myself until I got to the end of the library shelves I would go in order

Bella(✨❤️Hopeful Romantic❤️✨) | 251 comments I didn’t like that book series.

Sarah Lehman (sdelgado8404) | 116 comments I thought it was a little cheesy, and I didn't really like the heroine. But to each their own

Diane Yes...they're raunchy with a bit of smut added...but FUN!!

Bruna Galamba | 45 comments I read the books in 2013. I was 16, and I liked it. For sure if I read it now I wouldn't like it, especially because the movies ruined the story with the bad acting and I grew up and look at it differently now. It's a quick read, not much of a plot, very cheesy and borders on bad fanfiction style writting (it started as such). The only way for you to know if it's worth reading is by watching the movies (the books are substancially better, because you can picture the characters differently).

Chris St Laurent | 120 comments I read the first not worth the hype

Maja | 61 comments Read it and liked the books. Loved his point of view better than hers. First book is a little too much sex maybe, but the second and third have a good storyline and not everything is about sex which made it better for me.

Morgan Rose | 89 comments Honestly, the only thing that it has going is curiousity. I read these books probably when I shouldn’t have(I was like Junior year of High School) and my mom had them. Looking back at it now, it’s really nothing special unless you like reading spice after spice. And I honestly didn’t care for the characters(Christian is a toxic character) and the fact that it’s the same cycle over and over again(especially the third book is the worst).

Rebecca Cecil | 272 comments I read them all when they first came out. I liked them. But skipped through the the most part of S&M stuff.
What peeked my curiosity was "What made him the way he was"
I loved mysteries and was genuinely curious as to the cause of what started his journey into the kinky stuff.
So that was the side I wanted to understand, plus could not figure out how his brother never really knew him. His brother had no idea of his lifestyle.
The only book in his point of view is the last book it is just called Grey.

Kindle Jenner | 90 comments They are not good books. Like at all. But then again you can’t be good books when you started as Twilight fanfic.

That being said you should 100% read them and then watch the movies. If embarrassment transfer could be converted into electricity, I could have powered a small nation while watching those movies…good times.

Isabella | 8 comments Unless all you’re interested in is smut, no

message 20: by Savannah (new)

Savannah | 8 comments I personally hated the books. Not only did they just feel super awkward, but it's also an extremely bad representation of that type of relationship.

that is not "a bit of smut" that's literally the main goal of the book I'm sure.
