Help! Looking for a book about a man that travels with a suitcase full of letters or postcards. This book begins with vivid descriptions of a garden/backyard and various other things such as a blackberry bush. I believe the author is male, might have a Jewish name, and wrote this sometime in the 20th century— probably in the latter half (maybe in the 50s?). I believe the authors first or last name begins with E. Take the more specific details with a grain of salt though as it has been a year or two since I thought of this book. Can anyone help? It’s driving be crazy!
