so, I read the first book (The Cruel Prince) and didn't like it. But I still want to read the second book. So, can any of you tell if the series is worth continuing? Is it boring? TIA!

the cruel prince is one of my all time favorite series! book 3 is actually my favorite, but 2 is probably the best one! it’s totally worth continuing!

I was the same way! I didn’t like the first one so I didn’t read the second. After a little while, I finally picked up the second book and loved it!! The third book defiantly makes it worth while but the second one is only slightly less enjoyable than the third but still great!!

I strongly recommend you should keep reading!! I loved the whole trilogy. Yes, the first book goes a bit slow, but the rest of the books are amazing! one of my fav trilogies everrrr

personally, i didn't like the cruel prince, and the rest of the books didn't redeem it much in my eyes. I did read it a while ago, so maybe I missed something? If anything, the prequel was much more fun.

Honestly, I felt the same way after I read the first book in the series. And then went on to read books 2 and 3. I wouldn't say the series is boring by any means, but I didn't vibe with any of the books. This series just wasn't for me, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't continue it to see if you like the rest of it!

I felt the same bc the first one was kinda boring ngl. But I continued the series cause I already bought the rest and it depends. The second one especially is much better but still not like amazing or anything.

the books only get better. Cruel Prince series got me out of a reading slump, but the first book picks up only around 50-60% of the way win. if you didn't like the *entire* book, then personally I wouldn't recommend continuing

I didn't like the first book, but continued reading the series ending up liking the last book. It get's better to a certain extent, not perfect. Personally, I can't justify the hype around this trilogy. I don't think it's the greatest. I think it's important what YOU are expecting from the book.
