This book was read back in the 90s/00s, it belonged to my mother originally so could even be an 80s title.

Specifically I remember a significant bathtub scene, and I feel like there was a scene in a church with the man, thinking he was cursed and unable to enter. It’s been a long time since I last read this but I remember it being one that I dog eared pages for to reread. When I try to picture the cover it feels vaguely reminiscent of Teresa Meideiro’s Thief of Hearts. Someone might have had a Q name? Any help will be appreciated, I lost much of my mother’s book collection after she passed and I’m looking to rediscover as many as I can.

Is only the cover similar to Thief of Hearts or the plot as well?

Just the cover, when I rediscovered Thief of Hearts I almost thought it was the book I was searching for until I checked the plot. I’m trying to recall more of the plot, I can’t remember if the female lead is originally kidnapped by the male or not, I remember there was tension between them, and then I remember a bathing scene with them together. Maybe his name was Quinn or something? But I’m not certain. I lost easily a hundred of her old books and I could be conflating two stories as the same.
