Umm some of these have heroines who are half-angel or half-demon. I'd have really liked it if the human character is entirely human, i.e, without any superpowers.

If you're into kick ass heroine, actionpacked, complicated plot and a swoon-worthy hero, I recommend you to stop searching. BTW, did I mention this book has chimera?
Half a week of my life satisfactorily spent!
