The only thing missing is a reference to Captain Jack! 😺😸😻

Travis (travishiltz) | 2402 comments Fun romp.
Loved the pokes at the genre and Bridgerton particularly.

Didn't love the romance, as I nearly always hate romance involving the Doctor, and this guy just pales in comparison to other attempts at this kind of character.
This guy was no Alex Kingston or John Barrowman.

Curious, if there's been 100s of other Doctors, that the scanner only detected the TV ones...

Rick | 2261 comments … or did it only have time to show the most recent ones?

So, is Ruth recent?
Because I love that she was included, but it doesn't simplify things. It raises questions.

Rick | 2261 comments Maybe she is.
Maybe she’s the one just preceding the Hartnell Doctor.

I’m actually surprised you didn’t comment on the one people aren’t quite able to identify. Some suggestions are David Warner and other are offering Richard E Grant.

Didn't catch it actually.
a couple of the images were little wonky, and then I got distracted by being happy they included the War and Ruth Doctors.

Rick | 2261 comments The faces do go by rather quickly. And it’s subtle.

Travis (travishiltz) | 2402 comments Apparently, a big fan theory is the 'other doctor', is Richard E Grant's Shalka Doctor.
I'm happy with that.

My other thought:
What's with the Doctor hitting on Rogue...?
he might still be a married man.

message 9: by Rick (new)

Rick | 2261 comments Technically he saw River Song “die” in the library. But … we still know absolutely zero about the Doctor’s earlier family that resulted in their granddaughter Susan. Maybe their incurable infidelity is what drive him away from Gallifrey to begin with. And for that matter why are you layering 20th century western morality on an alien raised in a culture completely different than either British or American?

message 10: by Travis (new)

Travis (travishiltz) | 2402 comments We saw her die before they got married

Which does not help simplify the matter

Rick | 2261 comments Only with conventional concepts of temporality.

Fun story and I found the romance interesting rather than annoying.

Travis (travishiltz) | 2402 comments The only doctor romance I’ve liked was 13 and Yaz

So this one was cute but I don’t care if we ever see rogue again

Rick | 2261 comments Is it just me or that the hottest kiss in the history Doctor Who? Probably just me.

Yeah, I can't argue that one.

Rick | 2261 comments I’m going to try and rewatch this tonight. But I’m still dealing with the onset of a gluten intolerance (allergy?) and I’m having trouble concentrating on anything or watch anything or eat anything.

Rick | 2261 comments I did rewatch it. And I still think it’s the best episode of the season.

I don;'t think I'd say 'best', but it is definitely the most fun episode of the season.
