Childrens' Book about a boy pretending to be in a jungle... Read around 2018-2019.

I am trying to find a book we checked out from the local library probably in 2018-2019 range. I scoured my borrowing history with no luck due to the fact that out of thousands of items we've borrowed there are probably about 50 or so that show up as "undetermined item." Of course it would be the item my son really wants to find!

We seem to remember the cover being mostly green and showing a little boy possibly playing with toy animals. The story was about the child having adventures in a jungle, but really he's just playing pretend with the toy animals in his front yard. I think he uses a hose to make a "river." I think there was some conflict with the alligator/crocodile. A Tarzan-like character comes to the rescue, but it's really just the little boy pretending. At the end of the story the little boy has to stop playing because it's bedtime or dinner time. It was just a nice little story that my son really enjoyed. We've looked off and on when we think of it every once in a while, but haven't had any luck. Any help is appreciated!

Was it definitely a little boy in the story?

I've found several pretend jungle books with girls.
