The wolf twins are interesting and I would love to learn more about Lorcan.I hope while Aelin is away Rowan finds a way to free them.Sarah stated that Rowan will get a significant page time and I'm hoping that means we get some cadre interaction.
I remember Sarah saying that she wrote some extra content of Rowan and the Cadre! I really can't wait to know more about them in QoS.
I think that someway they will free by theirself. Obviosly they're Wide - eyed by the wonderful action of Aelin, I'm sure they all wanna be with her, be part of her court. And I think that gavriel will push Rowan to face his feelings for aelin
I'm obsessed by them! Want so much more detail! In HoF it was said that it was probably the first honourable break of a blood oath. So hopefully there are way of freeing themselves that won't involve killing Maeve (which they probably aren't capable of doing). If she send them all over to help her as a gesture of good will in the fights to come, that would be good. Really any page time with them is just what I need. Less Chaol, more Cadre!

Melanie that would be so sweet. I was also thinking, if the members of the cadre were so desperate to break their contract, they could find some way to betray Maeve (maybe start working for Aelin?) and then she would break the blood oath.

Omg yes!! I'd totally read an entire novella set and/or spinoff series where each book was centered on one of the Cadre <3
I hope Sarah could write Novellas about the cadre, at least about my bby Rowan´s adventures in Wendlyn. You know, how was his childhood, who trained him as a warrior (Lorcan came later), his relationship with Meave, excatlu, pretty exactly how he met Lyria, his romance with her... how he lost her... his battles (OMG I will love this parts) and please... by the wyrd!!!! HOW HE FEELS ABOUT AELIN!!!! All the development and details!

I'd love to know any of the Cadre's backstory. Like how they came to be under the blood oath and just all their backstories in general. They honestly make my life.
I'm guy but I didn't know where else to post this so...I just read the two little snippets that take place between ToG and CoM (The Assassin and the Princess, The Assassin and the Captain) and I'm reminded of why I have trouble choosing a 'ship.' I'm often conflicted when making decisions because I'm very intelligent and very emotional. Rowan is my logical choice for Aelin, but I would also love to see her back with Chaol. I guess i have to say I ship both.

Yay it's not only me!! I have a soft spot for these warriors and really what to know more about them, I do not how many people have finished QOS yet but really Gavriel in book 5, POV from the cadre would be nice ☺️

I agree with you Grace Meredith I was thinking the same thing what if its some kind fate that Manon wears a red cloak, has golden eyes and silver hair thus being the balance between Aelin and Dorian. I think Aelin is going to be with Chaol, 'cause she has SJM has already given hints that she and Chaol have mated due to which she could fight with Chaol and hurt herself but never harm him, it would eat her alive. No matter what she says to him they are bonded. Aedion and Rowan are her cousins. Aedion has the bond of blood with her no matter how distant and Rowan is Carranam which is why the bond are so different and can be mistaken for a more intimate bond but she's said it before and I shall remind you that what they share is not intimate it's different, it's carranam
Yaaaaah, I can see what you're saying Parnika, but their bond of friendship has become sooo much DEEPER. Plus, they tried sooo many times to hook up last book, but the timing was never right. I think they really love each other.
Out of them all I love Fenrys!! For anyone who hasn't read Empire Of Storms I'll tell you something... Fenrys is in it along with Gavriel and Lorcan...

If I were to marry any TOG Character I would mary Fenrys... He's amazing *sighs*
My favorite cadre member is Gavriel. He seems like the gentlest and sensible of them all. Basically, he's the mediator between his brooding brothers.And Maeve's choice of cadre makes me question what she looks for in a cadre. Power, certainly. But doesn't she want a loyal cadre?

Why would she sacrifice even a little power for loyalty when she could force loyalty on them? Maeve (EoS spoiler) (view spoiler) Then blood oath does the rest.
In EoS Connall is described as thoughtful compared to his twin Fenrys's wildness-----so how did thoughtful Connall *willingly* choose to take the blood oath to Maeve? Was he that resentful of being in his brother's shadow that he does the stupidest thing a Fae male can do? Fenrys is just awesome. What he does for his twin. What he does for us fan-chicks. The snarky-sarcasm-sexy-whole-shebang thing. (She-bang? She. Bang. And yes I do. ...or I would....) *swoons*

I imagine Ansel and Fenrys as a good pair. Fenrys is the White Wolf of Doranelle and Ansel's family symbol is the wolf. Also, Ansel is funny, talkative, and charming which are qualities that Fenrys would enjoy. They would match each other.

For anyone who forgot, the "Cadre" are Rowan's friends. There are six of them in total, including Rowan. I've been stalking SJM's Pinterest board for months and she's posted A LOT about them, especially Lorcan, so I think its safe to say that they will have some pretty big roles in the following books. After all, they're still bound to Maeve and we all know how "stable" the Fae Queen is.
Although their names were never mentioned in HoF, the wolf twins are Connall and Fenrys. The osprey is Vaughen, also known as the one who doesn't say much. Gavirel is our beloved "Kitty Cat" friend. Lorcan is their commander but we don't know what is Fae form is just yet. And we all obviously known Rowan ;)
No matter how they came to be bound to Maeve, I think it was evident that they no longer wish to be in her court. Not after seeing their "lifeless" eyes while having to whip their friends. And they seemed awed by what Aelin did for Rowan, so perhaps Aelin will be able to free them from Maeve because of her promise to Nehemia by "freeing the slaves" but in a metaphoric kind of way? I'm dying to know their back stories! What do you guys think?
