I read a horror paperback novel in the mid 90s. The story revolved around a half native american/half white set of twins. Their mother put the dead to rest by absorbing their angst and then released it in her sewing. Her native looking son did the same but released the angst in his piano playing. The white looking son was given away at birth and he could heal people but never learned to release his pain so he turned to alcohol, sex and drugs. The white son was being used as a avangelist on a tent tour and possibly on tv. The father was white, a baptist hated his wife and considered these powers evil. The cover had a demon looking stag head on it. I thought it was called Demogorgon but I think that is wrong.

Mystery Walk by Robert McCammon seems to fit And, here is an except from a Kirkus review:
The opening section is best--as we're introduced to Ramona Creekmore, a part-Choctaw woman in smalltown/rural 1950s Alabama who (to the dismay of poor farmer-husband John) has the ability to lay angry ghosts to rest, to foresee death.
....Wayne is Billy's twin brother, given away at birth. So it's inevitable that their divergent paths will cross in the years ahead.
I normally have a great memory. i could remember the storyline and even the cover but not the name. i kept mixing it up with another book i read at the time called demogorgon. but i knew that wasnt right. thank you again and if you are ever near philadelphia pa feel free to contact me i will buy you lunch and we can talk about books if you like.
