I read this when it first came out as an eARC. Would like to try it on audio next time up...I was surprised by how much I liked it....

Felina | 2416 comments Started this one tonight.

Felina | 2416 comments I liked this pretty well. It’s not as good as World War Z but it has the same vibe. Sasquatches just aren’t as scary as zombies. But I really love the concept. I’d love to see Max do this for all supernatural creatures. Werewolves would be so fun. Vampires. Poltergeist. Aliens. Like Max doing Skinwalker Ranch would be epic.

Great fun. Glad I read this one.

Nirkatze | 20920 comments Read this yesterday and agree--it was a lot of fun. I haven't read WWZ yet (this week!) but I've heard that it's written as a chronicle more than a single narrative. I can see those influences here, with the primary story being a diary, and the interwoven quotes. The quotes seemed like they were real-world--at least, I recognized several names. Great way to frame the story--with all the caveats glaring at them even as (view spoiler)

Why settle for one, when you can have both... this is on Audible sale right now:
