Finished my fifth book. Probably needs some explanation though. I decided to think outside the box and come at adventure from a different direction. I wanted something that would be an adventure in some way on my part. I read Save the Cat! Writes a Novel: The Last Book On Novel Writing You'll Ever Need. Not that I actually have any plan to write a novel, but I like books and as well as learning. Also, not something I read about all the time. Books about books that I have read lately are more from a reader's or bookseller's perspective.

Here are my five adventure books:
1) The Never Game by Jeffery Deaver - This is the first book in the series that is the basis for the TV series “Tracker,” which I’m enjoying.

2) A Crown of Swords by Robert Jordan - I started watching The Wheel of Time series on Prime and think I sort of know what’s happening. So many people love this series, and I think I would like it better, knowing what is actually happening. Lots of action and adventurous characters.

3) Unwedding by Ally Condie - This was a Reese Club pick, I believe, plus Condie is an Utah author. While it might be more of a mystery, I think it qualifies as an adventure as well, as the main character goes on a trip to a place she hasn’t been to.

4) Shady Hollow by Juneau Black - This is a cozy mystery series that I learned about from some coworkers. I don’t usually ready cozies, so my adventure was to try this out and I really liked it. The characters are all forest animals. The author said if people didn’t like the idea of animals, they could think of the characters as people, but with animalistic traits (I think).

5) James by Percival Everett - This is a retelling of the Huck Finn story from Jim’s point of view. The narration is awesome. I’m not quite finished, but should be done next week - I’ll update this post when I finish.
