Marc *Dark Reader with a Thousand Young! Iä!* (marcthedarc) | 152 comments I'm not sure how this "should" work but here's the scoop:

Series page: https://www.goodreads.com/series/1061...

Initially this was published* as a trilogy of three ~800-page paperbacks:
Book 1: Maradonia and the Seven Bridges
Book 2: Maradonia and the Gold of Ophir
Book 3: (was going to be titled 'Maradonia and the Battle for the Key' but this was never published.)

Later it was revised (fully rewritten on a sentence level, new introduction and first chapter added) and split into a series of ~400 page books.
Maradonia and the Seven Bridges (2008) became Maradonia and the Seven Bridges (2012) and Maradonia and the Escape from the Underworld.
Maradonia and the Gold of Ophir (2008) became Maradonia and the Gold of Ophir (2012) and Maradonia and the Dragon Riders.
Maradonia and the Law of Blood became the 5th book in this new series numbering.
Maradonia and the Battle for the Key is listed as the 6th book but to my knowledge was never actually published in any format.

So for the series numbering, maybe it should be:
1. Seven Bridges
1.5 Escape from the Underworld
2 Gold of Ophir
2.5 Dragon Riders
5? Law of Blood

Or make two different series pages: one for the original books:
1. Seven Bridges
2. Gold of Ophir
and another for the republished split books:
1. Seven Bridges
2. Escape from the Underworld
3. Gold of Ophir
4. Dragon Riders
5. Law of Blood
(I don't know what should be done with book 6 which doesn't seem to ever have been published).

I can provide info on publication dates for different editions, as far as they can be verified now. The new editions have been wiped from Amazon, but they're still listed on B&N: https://www.barnesandnoble.com/s/mara...

I'm just a fan of Maradonia who wants the books accurately listed on Goodreads. Thanks for your help.

David Raz (davidraz) | 13082 comments Since we don't have a separate 800 page and 400 page editions of Seven Bridges and Gold of Ophir, I don't think having two series is helpful.

The easiest solution seems to me to be to explain the situation in the series description. I went ahead with what you provided, let me know if you can come up with a better version.

Marc *Dark Reader with a Thousand Young! Iä!* (marcthedarc) | 152 comments If you want my suggestions I would simplify it slightly, I cut out some of the editorializing from my initial post:

Originally published as a planned trilogy of three 800+ page paperbacks:
* Maradonia and the Seven Bridges
* Maradonia and the Gold of Ophir
* Maradonia and the Battle for the Key (unpublished)

The series was later revised and split into a series of ~400 page books as listed here. The sixth book remains unpublished.
