That book looks interesting Rachel. I read Challenger Deep, it was odd and good. Im not sure how long this book has been on my Nook. Glad I read it.

I love that book, as well as Sourdough. I was introduced to them through this group and enjoy re-reading them now.

It is! He’s a great storyteller. I didn’t realize he was related to so many creative people.
Hello my bookish friends :)Sorry I've been quiet. I've been in a reading slump too... So busy with work (school) been back 4 weeks already but it's still wayyyyy to hot, 37C today... Roll on fall...
Anyway I've finally started reading a bit again, things are settling and my little year 1s are slowly getting used to things :)
I've just been checking my challenge progress and got surprisingly lots done . I don't think I'll be able to add anything else though... Here's what I've managed to tick off:
1)Sharon M Draper - Blended (5/5, think I already said, I really enjoyed it)
2) Nebula: Sarah Pinsker - A Song for a New Day (3/5 for me... Great idea but not that well executed and a bit slow)
3) Wood being significant: The Birthday Weekend by Lesley Sanderson... My current read so can't review yet. I've had it on my kindle for ages and I'm really glad I'm finally reading it.
5)B-E-A-N: In den Ferien fahren wir in die Bredouille by M. Lämpel - funny memoir of a German teacher... 4/5
8) - With the fire on high by Elizabeth Acevedo, another one I've been meaning to read for ages....
Might find another one for the day of the week... Will keep you posted of I go. Have a great weekend everyone :-)

Great to see you post Franzi! Thanks for the updates. :D
Tired of the heat. Roll on fall :D
I read This is Where I Leave You by Johnathan Tropper. I believe this book has been discussed in a challenge and I purchased it but finally got around to reading it. I really enjoyed the book. I’m hoping to finish two books before the end of the challenge. It’s a good feeling reading the books I’ve been meaning to read.
I subscribe to the Book of the Month club and purchased Annie Bot in March. I finished it and thought it was ok.
