The tendons in my neck stretch, the veins in my temples pulsing with too much rushing blood and song.  I tune my mind to the highest frequency—like tightening a sound snare—then cap the opening with a sieve, isolating Clode’s manic melody blaring at the top of her billowy lungs. The Goddess of Air works up a howling eddy that makes my veil flutter about, a lopsided grin stretched across my face.

Me trying to figure some of this out after reading Ch 32: (view spoiler)[ Ok, after reading this chapter, I realize that Elluin’s diary entries are before Raeve’s story/current timeline, but is being told in conjunction w. each other.

- The moon that Raeve likes so much is Allume?
- Elluin end up marrying Tyroth and she is Kyzari’s mother?
- Is The Queen working against her husband? (In regards to her helping Raeve escape) I am super curious what is it that both The Queen and Kaan notice about Raeve that causes them to help her.
- I also was not expecting the reveal that Kaan was in love w. Elluin

Meeting this clan mostly without a common language wasn't super thrilling because I would have loved to know more at this point. It would be easier to relate to characters if you knew more about them. But I still liked how things ended, but without knowing things about their pasts this attraction feels a bit surprising. It was hard to read about Elluin's dragon 😭 (hide spoiler)]
