YA Fantasy - If you’re killed by the final boss in game, you die in the real world.

When I was in 8th grade (2013-2014), I read a series on wattpad that had recently gotten published as a proper series. It was about a girl who had recently started playing a new video game that was like HYPER popular. The big bad of the game had some sort of special ability and if you were killed by her, you would die in the real world too. My memory is a little hazy, but I believe the big bad was also lowkey hunting down the protagonist when she found out. It was published as a textbook and I couldn’t get it in stores.

If that sounds familiar at all I would appreciate this assist.
