What was Slowswift's purpose in this book?

daydreamer No doubt this trilogy is amazing and extraordinary and beautiful and perfect and such.

However, I feel like Sanderson didn't give us a real reason why Slowswift is introduced, or why Vin goes to talk to him at all.
If I've missed something in the writing, or if Sanderson has talked about him somewhere, please tell me :D

daydreamer Omg, just had this crazy theory, what if he's the character who worldhops through the Cosmere??? :O :O :O
Because Slowswift is like, a nckname, so we don't know his real name!!!!
I hope we see more of him.

Raptori Doesn't he explain the situation in Fadrex to Vin? That's pretty much his entire purpose.

Hoid, the character who worldhops, is the informant that Vin decided not to visit because he "felt wrong" or something like that, just before she goes to meet Slowswift.
