I wouldn't call that cheating, really. In the end, it's all about reading a good book, having a good time and appreciating the author, right?

I haven't read their works. I do plan to read the works of a variety of authors, in both Bangla and English.

Otherwise, I'm a big fan of Isaac Asimov and Orson Scott Card.
Guess I'll have to give Ubik a try.
Another one to keep a lookout for is Ancillary Justice. Won the Hugo award for 2014. I forgot the author's name, though.

Do you read fantasies? I also like that genre, but haven't read much.

to make my challenge more challenging i am currently reading helter skelter which is like 650 pgs plus. the book is so thrilling it never felt that big and now i am sad that it is almost over. best of luck!!

I guess 20-30 would be a reasonable target. Like Salman bro, I too focus on authors; finished most of the major works of orson scott card in a week before I went cold. Now I'm in for Brandon Sanderson; I really loved his mistborn series. And he is a really good fantasy writer.

Brandon Sanderson, now that's one author I'm looking forward to reading.

Thank you too, though I wouldn't call myself a pro. I'm more of an 'in-the-moment' reader. Like Khaled Bhai, I find it easier to follow the continuity along the book series.

You can? Didn't know that.
