Hi Igenlode

Can you confirm that your page count doesn't include advertising material, an extract from another book or blank pages right at the end. Also, someone has put 2011 as the original publication date. Can you check your edition for this please. :)

Igenlode Wordsmith | 184 comments I have the first edition hardback of 1932 (William Heinemann Ltd, London, no dustjacket, printed at the Windmill Press with the familiar windmill logo stamped into the back cover) as shown in the picture. There is a blank page and a flyleaf at the end.

It definitely doesn't have 358 pages, let alone 360... unless one should add on the unnumbered material at the beginning? There might be another five leaves without page numbers there. The numbering starts at page 3, but there are contents, title pages, flyleaves etc.

No we don't count unnumbered or numbered with Roman numerals at the start.

Sorry I have the flu so I might be missing something, but are you saying your page count of 348 doesn't include advertising material, an extract from another book or blank pages right at the end?

Igenlode Wordsmith | 184 comments The final visibly numbered page is p347, but the text of the last chapter continues on the reverse, down to a final FINIS at the bottom.
The following leaf at the end of the sewn section is blank, and is followed by the flyleaf. There is no advertising material or book extracts in this edition.

Thanks page count added. Please allow at least 20 minutes for the change to display (much) longer if you are using the app.

To help volunteer librarians could you write [done] or similar in the title of the thread.
