Easy and good books to start reading in English?

I use to read in spanish, and I want to change the language.
The only novel I read in English was "my life with the Walter boys". I like to read romcoms, romantasy and thriller.

as for thrillers
how about Hidden Pictures by Jason Rekulak
or The Housemaid by Freida Mcfadden I feel the words used were easy to read and understand.

Caraval. I think. Percy Jackson and Harry Potter got me into extreme reading, but the Fairy Books by Daisy Meadows and The Piggy and Gerald books by Mo Willams got me into reading when I was younger.
