Page 130, Thru Part 1. (view spoiler)[. Well, Annie (Ahn) is quite the mess. Her strange mother dies and then her dog. She’s definitely got OCD that she is not willing to to go get help for, again. Her daughter is awful and now she’s lost her benefactor. She’s also alienated her only friend. Not sure what she did but can’t be good. (hide spoiler)]

this is a very odd story so far
the mystery is a bit slow to get rolling

(view spoiler)[ Yeah, she's definitely unraveling. I don't understand someone unwilling to talk to anyone - I find that so strange. Why wouldn't she talk to her husband? Why wouldn't she be worried she's treating her daughter exactly like her mother treated her. Doesn't she want a different experience for her daughter?

and these missing gaps of time. I can't imagine ignoring these.
What's with this car accident she keeps hearing? Did she hit someone when she was a young driver?

and it seems like the friend who wanted to do the mural - why didn't she recognize she was having memory issues (possibly an illness) ?

Why is Annie so embarrassed all the time? she can't tell the truth to anyone - like she can hide all these secrets forever. I don't understand why anyone lives this way (hide spoiler)]

Thru Part 2. (view spoiler)[ Well, I guess it's finally coming together but this sure has been a slow story. I'm pretty sure Duncan is killing all these folks but I guess we'll see. (hide spoiler)]

I have to be honest, I'm so checked out of this story I hadn't even thought about it

but it is a pretty crazy coincidence

I'm finding these relationships so far from my own that it's hard for me to even recognize them. I can't imagine casually chatting about cheating on my husband (or vice versa) with any of my friends
I can't imagine thinking it would be better if I didn't know my husband was cheating

and all her spiraling thoughts. Why why why won't she just talk to someone?! If she would, then this might have been headed off before all these dead bodies piled up and she continually had missing gaps in her memory.

this felt like it really dug into generational trauma (her mom to her, then her to her daughter)

the last few chapters felt like a different book - finally the husband started saying things to her and she fought back. Even her and her daughter were finally talking. . .it was just weird how different the parts of the book seemed
