shania when people say a book put them in a slump do they mean it as 'this book was so good it put me in a slump' or 'this book was so bad it put me in a slump'? or can it mean both?

message 2: by Jeremy (new)

Jeremy | 53 comments I think the latter, but maybe both

☆Shira☆ | 18 comments For me it's usually because the book was terrible, But it could also be because the book was amazing.

Katie Charleus | 6 comments When I am in a slump it’s because I just read a great book and another book is too difficult to get into

Sarah♡ {in a slump again} | 23 comments i heard that people use the word "book hangover" if it was so good that you just can't move on

message 6: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (adayinmymediocrelife) | 64 comments It goes either way for me. Either the book I just finished was so good that nothing compares and makes me want to not pick up another book. OR the books was so bad that I'm afraid to pick up another one out of fear that I will be disappointed again.

Megan Roth | 57 comments When I say it, I mean the book was awful but I believe it can be used either way

message 8: by Fakiha (new)

Fakiha | 145 comments I use it in both ways, in general it's just like I can't get myself to pick up another book after this book. I honestly get into book slumps more often from books that were really great bc i'm unable to get invested in another book since it's usually not as amazing as the one I just finished

Karsyn | 611 comments Can def be both, but I’d say typically it’s like “this book wasn’t my cup of tea, which made it difficult to get through, and put me in a slump”

Well at least that’s how I use it 😂

Little miss Booknerd | 60 comments I personally use it to signal that I have read an amazing book and can't pick another. I pick up a book so fast if I've read a bad book to forget it.

Olalla (Taylor’s Version) | 228 comments Well, when I say it I normally mean that it was terrible, but I know there’s people who goes through the same feeling when a book is really good.Nevertheless , I think the average one is the bad one
