Did they crash land on the planet?
Sadly I don't remember those details, just that, if I remember correctly, the crew landed on that planet. But if you have any titles that match what I wrote, I would more than happy if you could write them here to verify if it is the book I'm searching. Also thanks for the interest Kris.

The resources of the crew are absorbed by the planet. The crew starts harvesting the human looking planet for resources and some of them start to consume them. Depending on what part of the planet was consumend the people will gain the characteristics of the consumed part and eventuallu transform in that. For example the ones that consumend neurons become smarter and eventually transform in neurons for the planet.
In the end the remaining of the crew escapes the planet with a part of that Human looking planet.
The book was read 30 years ago and had somewhere around 100 pages. The book looked like a notebook and the cover had a huge human with tiny humans on it.
