Ayush (ayushraj) | 40 comments I returned to reading books after a long gap and hence, I tried to start with a very short book - Gooseberries and other stories by Anton Chekhov. It was a quick read and my first experience with Chekhov's witing. No doubt that he is one of the best when it comes to Short Stories but unfortunately, this short collection of 3 stories wasn't that impactful for me.

My review - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I hope to read some of his other works in future.

Ayush (ayushraj) | 40 comments I just started reading Les Miserables: (Penguin Classics Deluxe Edition) by Victor Hugo

I had tried reading it a few years ago but due to unavoidable circumstances, I had to stop reading very soon and that also marked my long absence from reading in general. But now, I am reading it again from the beginning (as I had read just a few pages in the past).

Hopefully, I will be able to stay consistent with my aim of reading just a few pages daily and finishing this gigantic piece of literature within 3 months.

Thanks man! It's going to be a long journey as I am reading it slowly, around 10 to 12 pages daily.

Ayush (ayushraj) | 40 comments I just finished reading Book 1 - A Good Man of Part One - Fantine.
I am left speechless and in awe of Monseigneur Bienvenu. His thoughts, actions and beliefs are truly remarkable and I couldn't help but wish to actually meet a person like him in real life.
