The opening line:

"At first it looked like low-lying ribbons of clouds just floating there, but then the clouds would be blown a little bit to the right and next to the left"

Immediately, I fell in love with this world. Honestly, the first half of the book was just so beautiful with a strong sense of place; or rather space as we are limited to this guest house and their neighbourhood. This image is basically the vibe of this half.



The story took a turn just after halfway... I'm not best please BUT this is life. For realz. Life does not stay the same; it is continuously changing. Beloved comes and beloved goes. I think I could cope better if the ending isn't somewhat hanging but then again, I tell myself, get on with it, woman, that's also real life. Sometimes, we just never have the true answer to question we have.
