I finished reading 1st part. Same as the 20 pages you have mentioned.
Nothing interesting so far. I hope 'the end of the world' is something impactful and not just a world tech and economic crises (considering the background of the 3 characters.)
And I am trying to ignore inconsistent punctuation.

It reminds me of that novel by Sidney Sheldon, the weather control device part... Something similar.

Yeah, its kinda dragging too much and even im not getting the feel of the book. Some unecessary info dump. This really doesn't give me the feeling of Sci-Fi, but sadly GR people have voted this book as the best Sci-Fi of 2023.
Thus I will probably read a 100 more pages and then decide if I want to continue or DNF this.

The very reason I can't follow popular books, even movies/series for that matter. I subconsciously tend to not go with hyped titles.
I guess I will do that too, complete this part 1 and then see if it is worth continuing or not.

I have completed Part 2.
And I don't feel like continuing.
Let me know if you have something better on your mind to read.

I've been occupied a lot these 2 weeks. Couldn't read much. I'll update soon. I'll try to complete a bit and see where I stand.
