When Jamie Clark, the team’s trainer, was notified of Willie’s death, she had an extremely emotional reaction. Did you believe her when she was adamant that they were just friends or were you pretty sure it was more?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I believed she was lying. I was waiting for the shoe to fall.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments I was sure it was more, and it was my first clue that Willie wasn't at all what everyone thought he was.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I was sure she was lying.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1803 comments She was obviously lying. No one has that kind of reaction to a simple friend.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments I wanted to believe her: perhaps she felt more toward him than vice versa. As the story progressed, I just gave up on faithful sports idols.
