Lori Phillips, Gonzo’s baby’s mother, has completed rehab, ditched her criminal boyfriend and got a new apartment. She’s now petitioning for full custody. His lawyer says it will be a fight. Does she really stand a strong chance of getting more than shared custody? Your thoughts?

I was thinking about this. Would she be considered for full custody so soon after rehab? I don't think so. Her history is shaky, I don't think a court will give her unsupervised visits at this point. The baby can't run for help if needed.

I agree with Sharon, Lori has a really shaky history, and I don't think she has any chance at full custody and that the most she should have are supervised visits.

Lori wants full custody. I don't see that happening right now. I figured she'll get visitation with someone supervising the visit. Down the road, if she could stay on the straight and narrow, she might get joint custody.

I agree that she doesn't have a chance at custody so soon after rehab but she might get visitation rights. Eventually, if she stays sober, she might get joint custody.

I am all for giving people a second chance, especially if they make an effort. However, any woman who couldn't be bothered to give her child a name is completely undeserving.

After having a son, who should have gotten full custody of his children, I hesitate to say what I would expect. Sadly, it may depend on the judge. Or what state they live in, or....

I don't think she should even get part custody now, but just visiting rights, under close supervision.
