Karen Barber | 13279 comments Have found a short read for 'medal' and also have one that can do 'penguin'. For the quicker readers, it will be helpful to fill in blank spaces (eg books to make up 'yawn')

message 52: by Karen (new)

Karen Barber | 13279 comments Will prioritise my audiobook for ‘umbrella’ but if someone else can finish and claim it first, please do.

Saskia Glock | 11 comments Hey guys thought I’d let you know that I am reading the first Hungar games then, catching fire ( the second book) which will complete my word that I’ve taken, however I am working a lot this month so I’m not full of time to read so it will take me a bit to read but I am doing it as good as I can :)

Leah | 2617 comments I have a review to post tomorrow. I got behind this month.

Brooke ♥booklife4life♥ (booklife4life) | 6433 comments I'll finish Penguin today and try to get a quick one in to finish Yawn.

message 57: by Karen (new)

Karen Barber | 13279 comments Have just posted a review for 'Mirror' and, Sharon, have put you down on board 2 for it.
Mods need to update to reflect Stacey's update, but think this is what we need to complete for the first time:
- battery
- cat
- cloud
- monkey
- penguin
- A and D in road
- umbrella (the audiobook will take me longer, so if anyone can read one and claim it, do, and I'll hold it for board two)
- A,W,N in yawn

Susan (jazzescrapper) | 2605 comments Sorry I didn't get to my book for the MONKEY's prompt. My hubby surprised me with a trip home and was here the whole weekend. He left this morning to go back to work so I will get my book finished ASAP

This is my reminder to add you to the spreadsheet in the whole word drop down. I'm not logged into the right account at work to fix it currently.

Brooke ♥booklife4life♥ (booklife4life) | 6433 comments Stacey; do you know when roughly you'll be done with Glow? Jamie has a book that will fit N, and i can finish something to fill in the "W" if you'll be a second, we can use Glow for the A or D in "Road" instead.

OK, i'll use my spare for part of Road instead then.

Maybe, as a whole, need to look into something for Ghost since i think we'll clear this set before Fernanda can get it done

Susan (jazzescrapper) | 2605 comments I finished the book for the word MONKEY :)

Susan (jazzescrapper) | 2605 comments I have these books I've finished. Let me know if you can use any to finish up the round 1 board

Red Alert by James Patterson and Marshall Karp
NYPD Red 6 by James Patterson and Marshall Karp
The Wishing Game by Meg Shaffer

I think we can use one of your books to finish ROAD

message 67: by Brooke (new)

Brooke ♥booklife4life♥ (booklife4life) | 6433 comments Ill have the D for road finished in 2hrs. Think we should used Susan's banked books to clear CAT instead and move Saskia's CAT to round two since she has to finish Hunger Games first.

Susan for NYPD 6, use this one for the C in cat https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...

We can use foreign language titles as long as they dont have any non english letters. (Unless that rule has changed)

If I use the link you sent me I can fulfill the C and the other 2 books have the A and T

That way Saskia can relax and have her book for round 2 ready

Yah think that's the best plan. I started a CLOUD book so we can move Fernanda's books to round 2 as well.

Karen do you know roughly when you'll get the UMBRELLA one done? I can try to find a quick one but i won't be able to do it til Sat or Sun

message 70: by Brooke (new)

Brooke ♥booklife4life♥ (booklife4life) | 6433 comments We're almost done with the whole set of words

GREAT WORK!!!!

the spreadsheet has rounds 2-4 on it (just look at the bottom left corner and click on round 2) so we should be starting to plan for that!

Hi there
I took CAT with the 3 books I just finished. I moved you to round 2. I hope that's okay. I remember trying to juggle work, kids, and then reading challenges. I'm not working anymore right now (waiting to have surgery on my shoulder) anyway I'm not a huge TV/Movie person so I read.

I tried to message you but it wouldn't allow me to. I just didn't want you to think I was being pushy taking over your word.

message 72: by Susan (new)

Susan (jazzescrapper) | 2605 comments In round 2 I signed up for Flip Flops and Bicycle

Both books have the picture on the cover so I'm taking the whole word for both.

If for some reason they don't take that C one, i'll try the translator's name of the French edition (i did ask on the main thread to check for translators so we'll see) https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...

They accepted it because they turned it red :)

message 77: by Karen (new)

Karen Barber | 13279 comments I'll post 'umbrella' this afternoon, so if we focus on reading books for board 2 we can probably get through some of them fairly quickly once our last couple are done.

message 78: by Karen (new)

Karen Barber | 13279 comments We can't get the final letter for YAWN done - Jamie's missing the review on the post. Easy fix.
Before we can start Round 2 we just need Brooke to post for CLOUD.

I've just finished one for CLOUD, Brooke, so I'll shuffle yours to Board 2. We should be fine to get cracking on that board now. Are there any words that we think we can't get the whole word done in one go for? I'm happy to try and catch up my NetGalley reads and try to make up words.

I still have a couple for each word so you can just pick any word and start knocking it out

message 85: by Stacey (new)

Stacey Labissiere (slabiss) | 465 comments Alright folks, by tomorrow I should have:
The Glass Queen (The Forest of Good and Evil #2) by Gena Showalter
Blood Like Magic (Blood Like Magic, #1) by Liselle Sambury
Glow (The Plated Prisoner, #4) by Raven Kennedy
all finished. My question is what letters should I use for each of these when I post my reviews?

Use Glow (The Plated Prisoner, #4) by Raven Kennedy for the W in YAWN (on the spreadsheet as waiting your review) and Blood Like Magic (Blood Like Magic, #1) by Liselle Sambury for one of the Bs in WOBBLE.

Glow (The Plated Prisoner, #4) by Raven Kennedy - W in YAWN
Blood Like Magic (Blood Like Magic, #1) by Liselle Sambury - B in WOBBLE
Dutch edition of The Glass Queen (The Forest of Good and Evil #2) by Gena Showalter - second B in WOBBLE
I've put you down on the spreadsheet for these - just change the colour once you've posted.

Do you mind moving your S book from skating to the L in medal since you're already spelling it out?

message 96: by Susan (new)

Susan (jazzescrapper) | 2605 comments I'm starting my book for UMBRELLA now. I just posted my review for SLEEP.

On the spreadsheet do we turn our book yellow or red? I'm sorry someone had to do that for me on round 1. I had no idea how you guys did that and then I saw it. I have been posting my reviews then turning my finished words red.

Hope that's okay. If not I'll stop :)

It's okay, i check the sheet whenever something gets posted on the review thread so doesn't bother me to update it myself

Yellow is for books you're actively reading, then pink is if you finished but haven't posted it yet, then red for posted on review thread.

message 98: by Brooke (new)

Brooke ♥booklife4life♥ (booklife4life) | 6433 comments Sharon i moved your Skeletons book to the "D" in medal since it's almost done, i have a book with skating in the title i can read after i finish 'penguin'
