YA SciFi Boy Raised by Computer. 1990s/early 2000s.

90s/early 2000s probably Elementary/middle school level reading.
Opens on protagonist who is raised in a room made entirely of screens by a co outer who teaches and provides for him as a disembodied voice... he ends up escaping somehow and realizing there is a world outside... feel like he maybe starts on an island or beach settinf... Adventures ensue, can't remember any details, sort of maze runner vibes about figuring out who and why he was being experimented on... I think there was a train chase scene??
