Due to unexpected cataract surgery in both eyes (one at a time), I didn't get to read anywhere near how many books I thought I'd be able to get through, but I still gave it a good try.

I hope the surgery went well. My husband had both eyes done a few years and it improved his vision quite a bit.

AHHH. So, my entire goodreads library was wiped by mistake. (Twelve years and five thousand books! Everyone, export your data!) Is there a way to recreate my challenge shelf and add back to it, or is it "locked" in some way because the challenge has ended?

You can try to create a new shelf with the same name to link it again to the challenge in the database. If not (and it's more than likely that it won't work), they're probably handling your data by shelf id and there's nothing you can do about it, ids being automatically generated by the database itself
