The main character (girl, possibly with grey eyes) is in a small town. She meets a young man who rides a motorcycle and eventually a romantic relationship develops. At one point they are by some stone ruins, and he pulls her through a circular opening in one of the ruins. He later tells her that means they’re married. She learns she has a responsibility to go underground and perform a special dance (maybe through a stone labyrinth) in order to stop some terrible event from happening. The young man goes underground with her too and holds in place some heavy object while she dances. I’m not sure how accurate these plot points are but I seem to remember them being connected into a story. I would have read it in the mid-90s. Thanks for any help figuring out what book this is!
