Drace (dracenines) | 7569 comments There are a number of errors that need to be cleaned up across various editions of Don't Fear the Reaper by Stephen Graham Jones.

1. US Hardcover Edition: Don't Fear the Reaper (ISBN 9781982186593)

- The description is almost correct, but some changes need to be made. To match the description as it’s written on the actual jacket of the book, the final sentence (“Don’t Fear the Reaper is the page-turning sequel…”) needs to be removed and the opening paragraph needs to be changed to the following:
Jade returns to the rural lake town of Proofrock the same day as convicted Indigenous serial killer Dark Mill South escapes into town to complete his revenge killings, in this riveting sequel to My Heart Is a Chainsaw from New York Times bestselling author Stephen Graham Jones.

===

2. US Ebook Edition: Don't Fear the Reaper (ISBN 9781982186616)

- The ISBN-10 1982186615 also needs to be set as the ASIN to prevent the Goodreads bot from screwing things up and mistakenly assigning it to another edition.

===

3. US Paperback Edition: Don't Fear the Reaper (ISBN 9781982186609)

- The book is mistakenly using the hardcover edition’s cover art. Paperback art is here, taken from the publisher’s website: https://d28hgpri8am2if.cloudfront.net...

- The description is incorrect and missing formatting. Transcribed from the back of the book:
On December 12th, 2019, Jade returns to the rural lake town of Proofrock, Idaho, the same day as convicted Indigenous serial killer Dark Mill South escapes into town to complete his revenge killings, in this riveting sequel to My Heart Is a Chainsaw from New York Times bestselling author Stephen Graham Jones.

Four years after her tumultuous senior year, Jade Daniels is released from prison right before Christmas when her conviction is overturned. Coming home is not easy – and Jade may never admit it out loud, but she’s happy to be back. However, that same day, convicted serial killer Dark Mill South, seeking revenge for thirty-eight Dakota men hanged in 1862, escapes from his prison transfer as a blizzard descends just outside of Proofrock.

Dark Mill South’s Reunion Tour began on December 12th, 2019, a Thursday.

Thirty-six hours and twenty bodies later, on Friday the 13th, it would be over.

4. US Kindle Edition: Don't Fear the Reaper (ASIN B09JPKVTCX)

- The publisher is incorrect. It should be S&S/Saga Press.

===

5. UK Paperback Edition: Don't Fear the Reaper (ISBN 9781803361741)

- The page count is incorrect. It should be 496.

- The description is incorrect. It should read as follows:

Jade Daniels faces down a brutal serial killer in this pulse-pounding tribute to the golden era of horror cinema and Friday the 13th.

Four years after her tumultuous senior year, Jade Daniels is released from prison right before Christmas when her conviction is overturned. But life beyond bars takes a dangerous turn as soon as she returns home, when convicted serial killer, Dark Mill South, seeking revenge for thirty-eight Dakota men hanged in 1862, escapes from his prison transfer into a blizzard, just outside of Proofrock, Idaho.

- The publisher name has a typo. It should be Simon & Schuster Audio.

Isabella Star LaBlanc

8. Barnes & Noble Exclusive Edition: Don't Fear the Reaper (ISBN 9781668023846)

As a note, Goodreads policy states that information isn’t allowed to be taken from bookseller websites, so for clarification, any information here is taken directly from the copy that I own.

- The ISBN-10 and ASIN are missing. They should both be 1668023849.

- The first paragraph of the description is missing. This needs to be added at the beginning:
Jade returns to the rural lake town of Proofrock the same day as convicted Indigenous serial killer Dark Mill South escapes into town to complete his revenge killings, in this riveting sequel to My Heart Is a Chainsaw from New York Times bestselling author Stephen Graham Jones.

- The language is missing. It should be English.

10. Limited Edition Hardcover: Don’t Fear the Reaper (ISBN 9781788580601)

- Francesco Giani needs to be added with the Illustrator role.

- The publisher should be Short, Scary Tales Publications.

- I cannot find the specific publication date online, so instead of January 1, 2023, it should just be 2023.

- It should be noted in the Editions field that this is a limited edition.

- To match the titles of the other editions, the apostrophe in the title should be changed from a right single quote mark (’) to a neutral single quote mark (')

- The description is incorrect. It should read as follows:

For the debate over the cover art, while I agree with your *premise* and point, I also understand the other librarians' "we volunteer librarians don't overstep actual goodreads paid staff on decisions of cover art, when the art used is still a technically valid image of the material" so I didn't change anything cuz i'm a wuss :D
