Thanks for reaching out to us! Kindly note that our system no longer allows us to move an ASIN once it is assigned. When an alternate cover edition is created, the ASIN is then automatically moved, but we cannot do this manually.
So, I search the forum and find this:
We’ve recently made a change where ASINs can no longer be removed from book records by any member (including Goodreads employees). This is because removal of an ASIN can lead to duplicate editions being imported into the Goodreads catalog. Going forward, if an ASIN is on the incorrect record Librarians should instead change the book’s metadata to reflect that associated with the ASIN, and then create a new edition or book record for the edition not associated with that ASIN. Employees will continue to have the ability to update or move ISBNs on book records.
I hope that somebody here knows how to get the ASIN on the correct book. It sounds like a lot of work.
