Does someone want to volunteer to read something? Id like to make sure everyone on the team has a chance to read for the battle if they want to! So if someone who isn’t reading yet wants to please let us know! Just please make sure you can get the book and you know for sure you’ll be able to read during that week.
I would've volunteered to read Over Our Dead Bodies: Undertakers Lift the Lid (I love books relating to thanatology) but wanted the whole team (any who want to anyway) to get a chance to get in there haha

My apologies for not reading the Crete book. I've been busy with work and was prepping for a party last Saturday and didn't have much reading time. I have a question about the battle. Are we going back and forth with our books before the battle? Does one person have to read the book or can multiple people read it? Do we get more points if more people read the book?
Also waiting to see if any of my books might fit too, been searching into between the rounds :)
I would like to read a book for this challenge. I will try to check often to see what is next….

That’s alright Natasha! We were able to fill the spot with a different book. We all understand life gets in the way of reading at times. My husband just said so at the end of the month I’ll get my wife back and I was like ummmm nope try the end of the summer 😂😂
Basically we’re creating a ‘chain’ linking the books together by letters. So we have to find letters at the end of their book to overlap with the beginning of our book. We will be reading a total of 10 books during that week. Anyone can read the books and in any order but they all have to be started and finished during that week. Each book only has to be read once by one person. So no, we don’t get more points if more people read the same book. Each book we finish we get 5 points for (as long as it’s in order of the ‘chain’. )The winner of the battle gets 5 extra points.
I'll be on a plane for four hours on June 22 so I can hopefully read a book for this chain (if it's needed).
Me again District 7 is going with Iona Iverson's Rules for Commuting.
As tempting as Ingenue is, I don't think there would be anything to follow so we'd all just end up reading Ingenue a bunch of times. haha

Oh damn. I was too busy at work to write my review after finishing it on my lunch break so I didn’t update shelves. It’s there now!
JL has messaged me that she will have to unfortunately withdraw from the games due to some personal stuff going on. We'll miss her on the team! :(I'm not sure if we'll get a replacement but I've let the Mods know.
Too bad about JL not being able to continue. Hopefully we’ll see her around for the next team challenge :)

I could read In Every Dark CornerIt’s a collection of short stories but I think it fit the challenge requirements.

I think we should probably go with Leslie’s book because if not we’ll be going back and forth with not many option, if any. ELI or EELI probably wouldn’t have any matches. 🙃That ok Leslie? I’ll let them know.

Actually an eli would have left them with way more options than they left us. Eli has 13 common words and 78 Total words including the names Elizabeth and Elijah. District 7 gave us Eel which only has 2 common words (eel and eels) and 24 total words most of which are eel associated compound words.
That true Christina I wasn’t thinking of names as being an option. Sorry guys I’m all over the place with the battle. I’ve been busy at work and trying to read my brain is fried 😬
Getting close to the end and District 7 next book is “Is Shakespeare Dead”
