Yep! Technically we have another 6 hours but I'm heading to bed in a half hour or so. Louise or Leslie Ann can add anything that comes in after that if they are around before the end of the Round. :)

Mine was The House of Dust and Dreams. It was a new find for me and I'm glad I read it!
My favourite book of round 1 was The Puppet Show. It's the first in a series of 6 books and I'm really looking ofrward to reading the rest of them.

Have we decided on our battle book are we going with Ancestor or Ancestral Night we need to let District 7 know.
My fav was the Many Live of Mama Love! I didnt read the back and it was a total surprise and very good!!!

The struggle for survival in the arena is a never ending cycle. Sometimes a tribute will luck into a boon but they are just as likely to be a victim of sabotage.
The Randomizer was let loose on all of the teams' resource supply piles. The Arena Masters are not heartless, the news isn't all bad. At least this time.
In Round 1, 1 pile receives a boon (15% page point increase), 2 are left alone, and 1 is the subject of sabotage (15% page point decrease). Impacts to resource supply piles are team specific.
Your team's randomizer results
Weapons: Left alone (protected by supply drop so left alone)
Shelter: 15% decrease
Food: 15% increase (protected by supply drop so left alone)
Defense: Left alone (protected by supply drop so left alone)
Will someone volunteer to read Ancestral Night? If so, I think we should go with that one.

Dang twists and turns!! The odds were not in our favor for Round 1 with the Supple Drops LOLHowever, it’s a really close race and we’re still in the game. Let’s keep on reading and doing our thing team!!
I surprisingly had 3 5* reads in Round 1Three Dark Crowns the start of a fantasy series with a twist
Island of Secrets and The House of Dust and Dreams which were surprisingly good finds for the mini. If you like The Nightingale you will like these.
Seems like we got some good ones this round so that’s nice! I love when you find a great book that was never on your radar.
With the randomizer results, does this mean we have to focus more on shelter for instance to recoup ? so many books to add to TBR pile- just reserved the audio for Three Dark Crowns from local library :)
Yes we’ll try and recoup some of the loss. We will get more supply drops for round 2 (hopefully!) so we can always plan to use one to protect Shelter if we want while we work on recouping.
My favourite was Iron Flame , can't wait for the next one !
District 7 has chosen The Night Watch as their next book. So we need something with WATCH or ATCH if that exists lol

Here is my plan for the next weekish: I have 1 more book to finish out a series and then Catching Fire on my list. After that im going to pull on the "shelter" books i have on hold to the front of the line so we can build that back up.
District 7 will come back with A Cyber Affair.
Does anyone have Fairy Tale by Stephen King on their list? I thought it was awful but I think I am in the minority on that opinion lolTale or Ale maybe an easier fit but they dont seem to be trying to stump us to bad so an olive branch could be beneficial.
We can see if there’s anything that starts with AIR. We only have to overlap 3 letters. I’ll look in a little bit and post some options. I agree to not make it so difficult for the other team. Challenging but not difficult!

That’s alright. The battle books need to be read week 2 of round 2 so they have to be started after June 22 and finished before June 29. I’ll post a countdown when it gets closer.
LOL Yes! For the battle we can read the books in any order they just have to be read between June 22 and June 29. We will only get credit for the 'chain' of books if it's unbroken.
For example if we finish books 1-3 and 5-10 but book 4 in our chain isn't read in time then we will only get credit for books 1-3. So whoever is volunteering to read the books has to be sure they can finish within that week.

I’ll keep working on books to build up our numbers for shelter again.

I can start Ancestral Night on Monday after I finish Children of Memory, yes? And it just has to finish between June 22 and 29?I’m always confused about the read date requirements lmao
For this one it needs to be started and finished during that week. So you’ll need to wait until June 22 to start.
I’m thinking maybe we should use the other book for Air. We don’t want to make it too difficult for them then they’ll give us back a really difficult one. Idk what do you all think. Should we go with The Air Raid Book Club or Air Raid: A World War Two Mystery? Majority rules!
For the second air raid book would their letters be “aid” or “ery”? Ery would be so hard 😕
