Pay the Piper? 
(I usually love Jane Yolen but both of my fairy-tale loving friends gave this just two stars.)
what I remember: It was a retelling of "The Pied Piper". White cover. I'm sure it had something to do with a rock band (the lead singer led the MC's sibling away or something like that). And either the Goodreads rating wasn't that high, or I simply read a bad review of the book; either way, I remember feeling kind of sad that it wasn't very well-received.
