I agree - one of the only rewards for completing the challenge is to pick the task. Therefore, let's let these folks have their moment :)

I started about a week ago, and now I do that rather than finish reading a book. My book completion rate has slowed to a crawl--something that has never happened to me before!

I'm glad to hear the site/process is getting such rave reviews from those in this group who have volunteered.

Thanks, I thought I had read it somewhere, but couldn't find it again! Thanks for the info!

No we haven't done that yet. I suggested that in an earlier post in this thread!
I know we're still in the midst of the Fall Challenge, but are any of you just itching to get the task listing for the Winter Challenge? I think organizing was almost as fun as the reading itself! :)
I agree, Sherrie! I love finding books to fit into the tasks almost more than I enjoy working on completing the challenge. It gives me a chance to pour over my TBR shelves, search for new books on the internet, and generally function as a "book detective".

Jennifer L.'s idea is great ... Why not a task for the down under season in every challenge?
Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but I just thought of it as I was browsing through some nonfiction books. With the start of a New Year, read a book that is of a "new" or under-loved genre to you. For example, I've read ONE nonfiction book in 2009 (of my 70ish books) and 0 poetry books, so I could read one of those.
Generation Gap -- Browse through a magazine or website focused toward a generation that is at least 25 years older or younger than yours. Read a book that relates to something (article, ad, letter, etc.) in the magazine / website that is no more than slightly familiar to you. We'd need a lot of Task Help from the different generations for this one, but I think it would be a lot of fun.
... We might even come up with better names for the generations than the current jargon.

In the end, if the person who finished the fall challenge wants another presidential biography task, that is his/her choice.
