For a series Throne of Glass it's one of the best series I've read. I love that the story is complex and builds on each unique story line without you realizing it most times.
For a standalone - All the Bright Places by Jenifer Niven is a phenomonal read that will give you the feels. (Don't read it in public because you will cry.)
