Do I only post books that have the points with 9 in them or can I post any books I read for the pages points only?

I just finished a book but it fits no prompts with a 9 or the letter in September. It only fits for the amount of pages I read.

Also I'm going to go read the rules but I finished The Raven Boys on the 1st BUT I didn't start it in May. I actually started it on April 23rd and finished it on the 1st. I'll remove it if I can't count it. I should have read the rules first

No, the bonus points are just there if your book can count for them. This is a page-point challenge. So, if you started a book before 5/1 but finished it in May, just let me know how many pages you read in May.

The bonus prompts are just for more points. There is no page requirement for those to count towards your book.

If you are participating in a buddy thread, you will need at least 4 comments made on that thread in order to get the buddy points for it. Depending on how many chapters the book has, you could divide that total by 4 and make a comment once you've completed the chapter.

For example, if the book has 20 chapters in total. Every 5 chapters, you could make a comment about the book - whether you like the characters, how you feel about what's happened so far, what you think might happen next, if you have any questions on something you aren't quite sure about, etc.

You can make more than 4 and comment on what other people post and such as well.

When posting on your team's review thread, it would look like this:

Then scores would look like,

You get points added to the 'Buddy Read's column and get double the points. If you don't participate in the buddy read, but still read the book, the score would look like this:

And sorry, one other question. I was looking at the Buddy Read for May 12th, The Art of Catching Feelings. I'm interested in joining but it seems the book isn't released until June. Curious if people are getting a copy earlier somehow? Thanks again!

Yes, we do create buddy threads for ARC's (advanced reader copies). There's a request thread for anyone who has those from (authors, publishers, NetGalley, Edelweiss, etc.) and wants to see if anyone else has those and wants to read them.
