Liander (The Towering Pile) Lavoie (liannelavoie) | 282 comments When you do the read-a-thon, which hours are your favourites? Do you get a strong start, or have to struggle out of bed at an awful hour? Are you going strong now at hour 22, or barely keeping your eyes open?

Do your favourite read-a-thon hours line up with your best hours on a normal day?

Liander (The Towering Pile) Lavoie (liannelavoie) | 282 comments I'm a night owl, so mornings are brutal for me, and on a normal day my best hours are in the late evening. On read-a-thon days, I start at 7:00 am, so it's a rough start, and I have my ups and downs throughout the day and night. Today, hour 19 has maybe been the hardest.

Lamilla | 823 comments My favourite time is actually just before the readathon, when people are arranging their TBRs, preparing snacks and visiting each other threads to cheer.

Apart from that I enjoy reading sprints, althogh I never able to participate in all of them, readathon starts 3PM local time

Kate | 646 comments My readathon starts at 1pm so I love the start time and like the push the first 2 or 3 sprints give me. Then I fizzle out and need sleep. This morning I'm starting strong again so I enjoy the last 5 hours too.

Liander (The Towering Pile) Lavoie (liannelavoie) | 282 comments Yeah I don't think I would be able to do the whole read-a-thon straight through if it didn't start early in the morning. As hard as it is, I can wake up just in time and immediately start, and then go to sleep as soon as it ends and just sleep til early afternoon. That's why I've never done the reverse read-a-thon!

Jelena | 23 comments Not even sure anymore. Last time I was awesome during early afternoon (2pm start), and almost died around 3am, but this time I fell asleep during first sprint, and had the best time during night! I think the season has some influence on me - when it's hot, I turn into night owl.

Believe it or not , I like the reverse Readathon the best .

Vicki Willis | 510 comments I actually like the reverse too, but because of the start time.
I start at 5am so by the time night comes, when I end up falling asleep ends the read a thon for me. So when I wake up it is over. I would like to wake up and have some more read a thon!
