Publication Date Issue

This book has an expected publication date of 5/28/2024, as shown on the book page. However, when sorting books by the author based upon first publication date it does not show until the second page (https://www.goodreads.com/author/list...). The display on that page does not show a publication date.

In other instances I have noted, where the expected publication date is in the future, it has properly sorted at the top of the first page.

Not sure if this is an issue with the book was set up or a bug.

Book pages have two places for a publication date. One is specific for that edition, and it was listed for this book.
There is also an original publication field, that is for the 'work' = all combined editions. The original publication date was missing for this title. I've added it, and now this book shows first when sorting this author's books on original publication year: https://www.goodreads.com/author/list...

I've been noticing this issue with several authors' works as well going on half a year now. Every time I find that the date for 'original publication year' missing. To me it seems to be a newish development that wasn't present before.
I was wondering if this field isn't patched to anything when importing data automatically? Would it be possible to just set the earliest publication date of any edition of a work as default for 'original publication year' (subject to manual correction)? Otherwise it looks to me like an avenue to discovering an authors newest works is lost.
I'm just guessing here since I noticed that issue with semi-regularity over different genres.
