Sci-fi/fantasy, people are cursed to keep driving, or burst in flames

Hi, i wonder if somebody can help me find the name of the book. As far as i remember, it is told from the point of view of two truck drivers, one of whom is a woman. They encounter somebody who has been cursed to keep driving, and asks to fuel his car while he is moving. They attempt to do it, but fail, and the person runs out of gas and busts in flames. There is an old witch woman behind it, whose driver is doing her bidding. There is also somebody with congenital deformity. I vaguely remember a scene with chasing on the train? Sorry, that is all ive got. As far as the age, i am thinking last half of the 20th century, or maybe very early 21. Any ideas?
