I read this book in middle school, so 8-10 years ago. The plot was a girl who grew up possibly on an island or in an enclosed kingdom, with a royal family. But not the true royal family, cause they were all killed and rumor is that the baby was snuck out of the castle. There was a secret society/group of moms who all gave birth that night or right around then (4 or 5 moms I think) and they took in the baby and raised it as part of the group, so no one actually knew who the royal baby was. The main plot is of one of these girls trying to figure out if she was the royal baby. It was a series, and I believe one of the books in the series had a Cinderella style scene on the cover, with a girl running down a set of stairs (I think they were red) and I think there were golden gates somewhere on the cover too

The Palace Chronicles series by Margaret Peterson Haddix? The first book is Just Ella, but you might be thinking of the second book, Palace of Mirrors.

I don’t think that’s it. She didn’t find out she was the princess, the plot was her trying to figure out if she was the long lost princess

It's the Embassy Row series by Ally Carter I think! You might be thinking of the cover of book three, Take the Key and Lock Her Up. It takes place on the island of Adria, which is a monarchy.
