@Emily I'm going to have to finally get to The Game (and others). I have it, but I have been a sucky reader lately. I've been mainly picking my books based on challenges and since I've been slowly reading a kindle edition of something else (for a challenge) that I'm not enjoying. I had to pick something on audio for this. You're review of The Game lets me know I need to make it fit somewhere soon.

Me too, I forget about her sometimes but each book I have read is stellar.

Has some funny moments.

I'm not afraid to admit I was anxious that Georgia wasn't going to get her happily ever after with Max. Max was just the right mix of strong, charming and marshmallow from the second he pretended to be Georgia's date. Georgia's indecision was at times frustrating, but it also bought some reality and tension to the fairytale whirlwind romance. And a special mention goes to Otto who was such a fun side character.

A bargin has been made to settle a debt, and a battle of wills unfolds to see whether Alaric or Clara will relent first. If you are a sucker for an enemies to lovers troupe, with a pride & prejudice style and the lore of vampires, this book is a great read. As the first in the series, it was just a teaser at a larger vampire world and the cliffhanger definitely has me wanting to read what will happen next.
Fav Quote:
“I’m not afraid of you,” I say, meaning it. He’s trying to scare me, but even now, if he wanted, he could have killed me before I could think to stop him. But he hasn’t, his posture isn’t even threatening, instead he looks as though he’s holding himself back from something far more dangerous to us both. And part of me is responding to that part of him.

Review: I really can't explain why this book annoyed me, but when I start rolling my eyes at something that happens, I know it's going downhill. I will say that the sex scenes were hot, but she almost took me out of the moment with vagina and derriere during the scene.
Vagina is a clinical term, plus she used p**sy when they weren't even having sex. And I don't even know what to say about derriere. I would have preferred closed door to that. I guess I should just be happy she didn't say penis.

Annabelle saved Carrick O'Harra twelve years ago, she was young and should have been afraid at the hulk of a man but she didn't flinch. Carrick owed her a marker and gave her a necklace as thanks. Years later Annabelle needs a miracle as her stepfather has put her up for auction.
Carrick never thought he would hear from Annabelle again, but when she calls he is a one man force that comes and rescues her. The problem is the man who bought her wants her back and will do everything in his power to get her.
This was entertaining and fast paced. Carrick was a bit of a mess, he had a dark broody personality which took a bit to get his head adjusted when it came to Annabelle. I liked Annabelle, but did wonder why she had not left her stepfathers when she got the chance.

In the author's own words, this story is a romantic comedy about Dani Porter, an interior designer who simply refuses to turn the other cheek when her fiancé cheats on her. Surprisingly, the book was equal parts funny and insightful. Dani's tenacity pulled off the revenge scheme fantasied by many, but it did feel a too fortunate at times.
Fav Quotes:
"Will this feeling go away? ... Like I've ruined everything. There's nothing good left." She smiles. "You young people. Everything is the end. I'll say it again. No one's dead. You're a self sufficient woman. You start over."
We have a b-day party for my little one tomorrow, so with all the preparations, I haven't been able to read much. Most likely, I'll finish my book sometime on Monday.

Diego "Kincaid" Anderson is a man who will not tolerate the abuse of women and when he sees Emmalyn Mikaelson being abused by her husband he offers her an out. Kincaid finds himself fiercely protective of Emmalyn and he wants her. Being forced out of town for work, Kincaid keeps Emmalyn protected while getting to know her. Falling hard for the skittish woman, he goes about wooing her but the threat to her has amplified and Kincaid needs to figure out a way to end the danger once and for all.
I liked this one, will definitely be reading more in this series. New to me author and was thrilled I picked this one up. A bit angsty but overall I thought the chemistry was there and enjoyed the flow of the story.

Review: This was a really cute story with a relatable issue. Vera is having an issue with her website for her business, so she does what we all do and call customer service for some troubleshooting help. And that is how she meets Cal. There interactions are just so fun. The hit it off in more ways than one. Plus, they are both dealing with some family issues. The story doesn't take place over a long time period, but it is in no way rushed. Honestly this is the first time in a while I've enjoyed a non-steamy romance. I will definitely be reading more book by Ms. Cara.
Julie if you would like the last person to post to check in, just let us know. I don't mind doing that if needed.

Despite their tortured pasts, Chance and Cassidy were likeable characters and their slow burn romance was so worth the wait. The plot with Cassidy's brother came to a very satisfying end. I also loved the epilogue from Chance's perspective.

Because if we’re up against what I think we’re up against, then I can’t afford the distraction. And you, California, are a big fucking distraction.”

Playboy Pilot Going to have to check this one out. I do not read a bunch of pilot ones, not sure why but your review and reread makes me want to seek this out."
Please do. At some point along the way I've really like all of Vi Keeland's book, she has been a one click for me for a while. I own quite a few but haven't gotten around to reading them. I just buy them with even reading what they are about, that's how confidant I am in her writing.
