This book is amazing so far! I'm about half-way through and am Team Po... screw Giddon and Raffin... Po all the way! If Katsa would just get her head out of her butt, we'd be good!
Aside from that I'm curious about Monsea and the king.. and I feel like I haven't seen the last of Randa. I wonder what he will do because of Katsa's actions.

I'm only on page 43 but I find it very interesting. Also, I happen to have different colored eyes, which I find amusing.I've decided I was probably Graced with sleeping or grammar correction.
Hahaha Katy that is hilarious!
They say if your eyes are two different colors, you joined with your twin in the womb. I don't know if that's true or a wives-tale, but still an interesting concept!

Well I have every single one of the books the group has listed for this month but don't know if I will get to them before the month is out. I so wanted to read them all with you. How often do you have ALL of the books!!! I will try my best, I'm missing all of the fun :)
Up to page 173 (just beginning Part 2) and still loving it! (view spoiler) I'm really excited to find out what happens in Part 2 and further!

Actually, one of my carotid arteries was severed when I was born so my doctors have theorized that, despite the fact that I have really good collateral blood flow, that eye just didn't get as much pigment or something. I also have Horner's Syndrome which causes my eyes to be different colors. As far as I know, I never had a twin, but my Grandma was a twin so while it's rather freaky, it's not impossible...maybe that's why I feel guilty all the time. I just figured it was because I was raised Catholic but I never go to church. I watch it on TV sometimes though. That has to count for something, right?
I read this book when I was younger and loved it, this time around I'm not as in love with it probably because I could relate to Katsa when I was younger more than I can now. The other 2 books weren't published when I read it either so I'm definitely adding those to my reading list!If you were to have a grace, what would it be?
Finally finished. I really liked this book. (view spoiler)
I did think that it had great voice, good character development and I'm intrigued to carry on the series..

I'm only 40% done but I just read Po's retelling of the story of King Leck's "rise to the throne" and all I could think was (view spoiler) IDK if I'm even close to right about this...I'm just guessing.
I agree it would make an amazing movie! Also not done though. Because I like to drag things out until the last possible second. I can also already tell I'll want to continue this series - darn it! =P

I'm disappointed... the second book Fire has nothing to do with Katsa, Po and Bitterblue... the only repeat character is Leck.... or so I'm told from the description and reviews... it has to do with another girl that Leck took advantage of.
And the 3rd book, Bitterblue is about Bitterblue's struggles as queen and how her advisors might not be so trustworthy... again so I'm told for the synopsis and reviews.
I'm scared and don't want to dislike the books, so I think I will refrain from reading them...

Thanks for the warning...(view spoiler) I thought/hoped it might be like The Lunar Chronicles where they add more characters but keep the old as well. Guess not...I might still read them though. It depends on how this ends, I guess. I should go read it now!

You REALLY should!
You REALLY should!
finished yesterday and I loved the book except for the ending and was really hoping the story of Katsa and po would continue. I don't know if I want to read the next two but I probably will just because the second or third one is supposed to talk about where leck is from and I want to know!

I don't know if I want to read the next two but I probably will just be..."I just finished Fire over the weekend and I'll say you get to see Leck's a little more about Leck's history but the main story is on different characters/setting/earlier time than Graceling. I think it was still interesting even though I was disappointed it didn't continue Katsa & Po's story.
I just feel like katsa and po's story wasn't over yet. but id like to here more of lecks story and I already bought the fire book when I bought graceling so ill be reading it.
I finished on the 27th and thought the end was okay...I don't really feel any need to read more about Leck but I might check out Bitterblue just because I like her and I'm holding out hope that there will be some mention of Katsa & Po (or Raffin, Oll, etc.)
Finally finished. It took me a really long time to read this book and I'm not sure why. I was into it, maybe not into it, into it? Anyway it had a predictable ending after (view spoiler). I'm with you guys though... if the second book has no mention of Katsa and Po I might not enjoy it
