90’s/2000’s Book with glowing moon or Earth with possible number or year in the name.

I couldn’t fully describe this book if I wanted to but I’m hoping the little I can recall, someone will remember what it is! I read it this book sometime between 1999-2002, but the book is older than that I believe. I vaguely remember the title being a date (I keep thinking 1984 but I know that’s not right). The cover may have had a glowing moon or Earth image on it. The title of the book was in the middle of the moon or Earth and the rest of the book cover was black. The characters in the book were trying to survive the future after destruction. Might of been set in space but I keep thinking it was set on an island. It gave me Hunger Games vibes many years later after reading The Hunger Games I remember the main female character had her love interest with her wherever they were and something to do about having to set fire to others to survive. This may be the worst description ever but hoping it jogs someone’s memory!
