The book is part of a series and contains characters from prior series.
The protagonist is a war veteran who returns home and is a loner. It contains elements of enemies to lovers where the heroine is trying to get him to open up.
He becomes involved romantically with the sister of one of his friends.
They start sleeping together when they get trapped in a cabin in the snow together and keep this relationship for a bit.
There is a scene where the protagonist gets into a fight at a bar and then the heroine's step brother gets upset at her for sleeping with his friend and she leaves and goes home and the hero punches her step brother.
The sister feels neglected by her step brother, who struggles with PTSD and anger issues and I think there was a previous book about him in the series.
The protagonist leaves after the heroine tells him she loves him and returns for a happy ending.
I literally remember almost the whole plot, but I cannot remember the title please help :(
I found this book when I was looking for heroines that feel left out or unloved.
