Reverse Creation of Alternate Cover Edition

I have a copy of this book that had a cover not currently showing, so I tried to add it as an Alternate Cover Edition. Problem is, I accidentally added it to the wrong ISBN (I must have clicked on a different edition by accident, as three have the same cover). I have now added it to the correct ISBN edition, but when I deleted the Alternate Cover Edition I accidentally created, it wouldn't let me add the ISBN/ASIN back to the original version that was bumped by the edition with my new cover. I followed the criteria for separating the editions and recombining them in order to merge the two editions (it probably wouldn't have mattered since my new Alternate Cover Edition was brand new, so no one had shelved it, but I did it anyway).

Anyhow, this edition now needs the ISBN/ASIN added but it is currently blocked because they are associated with the now deleted inaccurate cover version.

If anyone can help me figure how how to fix it (or if there was an easier way to just undo the original creation of the Alternate Cover Edition in the first place) that would be greatly appreciated.

You need to send the staff a message so they can move the ISBN/ASIN back to the right edition. They are the only ones who can manually move an ISBN/ASIN.
